About

At Shido Foundation, we believe that lasting change begins when communities have the tools—and the opportunity—to lift themselves up. From drilling boreholes in rural Kenya and rebuilding school roofs in Nepal to funding vocational training for women in Thailand and providing emergency shelter here in Hunterdon County, our work is driven by a simple conviction: everyone deserves hope, safety, and a chance to dream. In Kenya, we’re especially proud to offer full scholarships to bright young women entering high school—because when you educate a girl, you transform a family, a village, and an entire nation. Join us as we unlock potential, one life at a time.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.

Our Mission

Our Mission

To empower underserved communities across Asia and right here in Hunterdon County by providing life-changing resources—clean water, safe shelter, quality education, vocational training and scholarships—so that every individual, especially girls in Kenya, can unlock their potential and build a brighter future.

Our Vision

A world where every community—whether in rural Asia or right here at home—has the resources, opportunity, and hope to thrive. We envision resilient villages in Kenya powered by scholarship-educated women leaders, schools in Nepal safeguarded against disaster, empowered artisans in Thailand charting their own futures, and homelessness in Hunterdon County reduced to zero. By uniting hearts and hands across continents, we aim to spark a ripple of lasting change that transforms lives for generations to come.
